I'll whine some...
I live in Central NC and right now we only have about 3" of snow, but that is covered by about an inch of ice. Temps aren't supposed to go much above freezing for the next few days so not much will melt. I know thats not even close to the 2 feet plus hitting some right now, but that ice is a killer!
Now here comes the whining...
I have two metal hip prosthetics which means that I cannot risk going out and chancing a slip or fall. Plus I have to be at the hospital tomorrow morning at 7:00 for pre-surgical admitting. On Tuesday I am having the right hip replaced again (this will be the third time) to get the metal products out of my body. The metal prosthetics have been recalled and they're basically poisoning me. Then the left will have to be done sometime in March. That will make 6 hip surgeries since mid '07 and I am getting REALLY tired of this...
Now the good part...
Being stuck inside has given me time to go back and transfer/edit some old tapes and this morning (at the request of a friend) I stumbled across a Bruce Hornsby show from 11-5-1993. WOW! Probably one of the best tapes I ever made and it brings back some memories from that time in my life that have made me all warm inside.
So the snow/ice isn't totally a bad thing and a little perspective always helps.

Hope everyone digs out!!!!!!

I hope the docs are skillful and your recovery goes well, diap. I'm sorry you have so much pain and this process is so frustrating and frightening ( I would be, you could be made of sterner stuff). Peace and balance.

Let us know how it goes Dogs.....

Best to you for a speedy recovery. Just not so speedy that you have to shovel.

Unless you want to.
